The island of Nantucket was created around 12,000-10,000 years ago by retreating glaciers. \u00a0The land mass is 47.8 square miles, 14 miles long and 3-5 miles wide on average. \u00a0The island is located 30 miles from Hyannis.<\/p>\n

Because of the islands geographic location (Longitude 70 degrees West, Latitude 41 degrees North), being surrounded by ocean and close proximity to the\u00a0Gulf Stream, Nantucket is 10 degrees warmer than the mainland in the winter (when winds are calm) and 10 degrees cooler in the summer.[\/vc_column_text]

Are pets allowed in company housing?<\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>No pets of any kind are permitted at or in any housing unit.\u00a0 <\/span>Assistance animals may be allowed if a request is submitted to the Housing Manager under and subject to reasonable accommodation, polices and procedure and the Assistance License Addendum is agreed to and signed and complied with.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Are children or spouses allowed in company housing?<\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>Children are not allowed in company housing. Spouses are allowed in company housing only if they are working for the company and assigned company housing.<\/p>\n

Are vehicles permitted in company housing?<\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>Yes, however only certain housing properties have spaces for parking.\u00a0 <\/span>Vehicles must be registered in the Housing Office and will only be permitted on a first come\/first served basis until all spaces are full.\u00a0 <\/span>Vehicles are not required or recommended on Nantucket due to the island wide transportation system.<\/p>\n

Is smoking, vaping or smoking marijuana allowed in company housing?<\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>No smoking of any kind is allowed inside company housing. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Does the company provide initial transportation\/pick up to housing units upon arrival to Nantucket?<\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>Yes, pickup is provided but only if the employee schedules their pickup with the Housing Office at least 48 hours in advance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
